Ron hates his life.  Being the son of the most well-known longaniza sausage maker in Toronto, Tito Bernard, he has been stuck in the basement grinding out the Filipino links for 19 years of his life.  Order after order, a continuous stream of Filipinos knock at the door for the delicious breakfast and barbecue food.   Ron detests the insatiable appetite of these people who line up for “a little taste of home”.  At the end of each day Ron’s dreams are haunted by longaniza.  Ron wants to dream of something more.

One day, when he has to get more casings for the sausages, his mundane small talk with Arthur, the sausage casing vendor, inspires him to dream that dream of something more. Ron comes back to the basement with a brilliant plan to change his life, his luck with the girl of his dreams, and the sausages forever.
